The Fourth World War

World War 3 had been quietly going on in an unorthodox manner since 2001. Economic battles, cyber warfare, and small scale warfare. Like conflicts in Ukraine, and Syria.

One side wants a hyper-universalist unipolar hegemony. The other wants a return to the tradition of multiple great powers. That existed until the conclusion of the First World War. The beginning of unipolarity began after that.

The Global Powers:

  • United States
  • Germany
  • United Kingdom
  • Japan
  • Lula’s Brazil
  • Canada
  • Australia
  • South Korea
  • Israel
  • United Arab Emirates
  • Nigeria
  • Morocco
  • Armenia

Non-Aligned Movement:

  • Switzerland
  • Italy
  • Ireland
  • Poland
  • Hungary
  • Ethiopia
  • Oman
  • Sweden
  • Norway
  • India
  • Greece
  • Mexico
  • Romania
  • Bulgaria
  • Turkmenistan
  • Spain

The New Alliance:

  • Russia
  • Iran
  • Egypt
  • Syria
  • Kazakhstan
  • Turkey
  • Pakistan
  • Saudi Arabia
  • China
  • Argentina
  • Cuba
  • Haiti
  • South Africa
  • North Korea

The Fourth World War began in the late 2030s. The brief period of calmness after the chaotic 2020s didn’t last. A disastrous United Nations meeting sparked the flames.

Naval, economic, air, and space warfare were the big 4 in this war. Land warfare was surprisingly limited. This is the first war that featured battles that didn’t take place on Earth. It actually got the attention of advanced civilizations from other solar systems. That had been monitoring Earth on a semi-regular basis.

When an entire fleet appeared in our solar system near Mars. The war ended within three months. The creation of the Earth Federation happened a year later. The fleet didn’t move an inch in that time.

They made zero effort to contact the people of Earth. They also ignored several attempts at communication that Earthlings sent. Until the Winter Olympics started in Oslo. That’s when they finally sent ships to Earth.

The first contact was a positive one. The Aliens setup a research colony on Mars. So, that they could maintain a close relationship with us.

The most significant amount of deaths occurred in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Shenzhen, and Riyadh. Parts of these cities are unlivable.
